Anyone who ever has longed for a fully equipped butler’s pantry but reconciled themselves to going without can experience that luxury vicariously Saturday while helping to support local nonprofits and other worthy causes during the Colorado Group Realty Parade of Homes. One side of the Lodges at Valley View, listed by Gabriele Seide, and built by her husband, Gabe, boasts a buffed butler’s pantry that has wood-paneled ceilings and gleaming hardwood floors, “It’s a complete kitchen,” Gabby Seide said. “If I could live there, I think I’d make it my kitchen and leave the main kitchen clean.” Tickets are $20, with proceeds benefiting the Colorado Group Realty Charitable Foundation. Bart Kounovsky, a member of the foundation’s charitable board, said the intent of the Parade of Homes is to allow Northwest Colorado residents and visitors to experience luxurious mountain homes they might not otherwise get to visit. The board has decided how to gift $50,000 to local causes since 2006. Colorado Group Realty founding partner Randall Hannaway said the Parade of Homes is less about selling homes than engaging the general public. “It’s something we truly take pride in,” he said. “Colorado Group is deeply committed to giving back. The original intent was not to feature homes that are for sale; we’d prefer to have properties that are not for sale. Of course, we’re in the business The two sides of Seide’s duplex are larger than 6,000 square feet and listed at $3.34 million and $3.6 million. Because of their hillside location, just a short walk from Steamboat Ski Area, they are equipped with elevators. The Parade of Homes coincides with the Wine Festival at Steamboat, so it’s fitting that the home also has a wine room large enough to house 600 bottles. Also in the tour is an 11,823-square-foot contemporary home set in the trees that boasts seven bathrooms, including a master bath with 10 showerheads. Ski Trails Lane, Burgess Creek and the lower mountain. |
